These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a contract between you and Get Meridian Health, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Meridian,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your use of the Meridian website and service (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Meridian is an informational tool. You can bring a health report or ask a health question, and Meridian sends it to several independent frontier AI models, then shows you where they agree, where they disagree, and questions you may want to raise with a clinician.
Meridian is not a medical device, is not a diagnosis, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, examination, or treatment. AI models can be wrong, can be incomplete, and can disagree with each other. Output is generated automatically and is not reviewed by a clinician unless a clinician review is expressly provided to you and labeled as such.
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions. Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you read on Meridian.
Meridian is not for emergencies. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. Meridian does not provide urgent or crisis services and does not monitor submissions in real time.
Meridian may offer an optional review by a clinician. Where offered, that review is independent triage and navigation only: it helps you understand what the AI output may mean and what to ask next. It is not a diagnosis, not a prescription, and does not create a doctor-patient relationship between you and the reviewing clinician or Meridian. No clinician on Meridian is acting as your treating provider.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for users in the United States. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your sign-in access secure.
Meridian lets you keep records for family members or people in your care. If you submit information about another person, you confirm that you are their parent, legal guardian, or caregiver, or that you otherwise have their permission to manage their health information through Meridian. You are responsible for handling that person’s information appropriately and for honoring their wishes, including requests to stop or to delete their records.
You keep ownership of the reports, questions, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you, including sending it to the AI and infrastructure providers described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to advertise to you.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to submit it. Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringes someone else’s rights, or that you are not permitted to share.
You agree not to:
We may apply usage limits (for example, a daily limit on reports) and may suspend or end access that we reasonably believe is abusive, unlawful, or harmful to the Service or other users.
To operate the Service we use third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google) and infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel, and Resend). We are not responsible for the content these models generate, which may be inaccurate. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers’ terms where applicable, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service or any AI output is accurate, complete, reliable, or suitable for any particular purpose, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meridian and its officers, directors, employees, and providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the Service or any AI output. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold Meridian harmless from claims and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of another person’s information without authority.
We may update these Terms or change, suspend, or discontinue the Service. If we make material changes to these Terms we will update the date above and, where reasonable, give notice in the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time, and you can request deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Meridian agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware for any dispute that is not otherwise resolved, and you agree to first contact us so we can try to resolve the matter informally.
